Hi All!
I am so happy to announce the rebranding of my Servboxx store.
When I first began Servboxx, the idea was to sell products in a box at low-cost prices without a forceable monthly subscription sign up.
While I don’t leave out the idea of having some products subscription based for some products this will not be for all products.
For a long time, I have seen stores pop up with the promise of great products with the promise of low-cost subscriptions. What happens with these monthly subscriptions is the products either get recycled and you see them again either in 3 or 6 months or the products become cheaply made and the boxes aren’t as visually friendly.
Subscription base boxes aren’t a new thing.
There was a makeup company who used this business model. The makeup was cheap, and the colors weren’t colors probably most people wouldn’t use but it was the 80s so maybe during that time period it was fine, but the company never evolved. They kept recycling the same makeup three months later and before you knew it, you had the same color of eye shadow palettes sitting there on your makeup dresser.
My mom had subscribed to this, and she barely used this makeup. I don’t know if the company is still around but that should tell you a bit of the history about subscriber-based companies and what we see here today.
I don’t much about other subscriber-based companies, and how well they are doing, I’m sure that’s something I can look up; however, this isn’t the point to this blog.
My point being, I’m seeing a bigger picture of Servboxx. It was a text a friend of mine said, “look out Etsy” that had me thinking about those who make and sell products, but don’t have time in building a website. Maybe they have a job they really like and don’t want to leave that job but can stay committed to a side hustle.
Etsy, Shopify among other largely wide marketplace websites offer a wonderful platform for people to market their products and have the ability to reach an audience who may not know of their products just through social media alone.
Granted I am neither Etsy or any other largely known marketplace, but I like to idea to open up a platform where people can sell their products either exclusively or not and have a better percentage of sales opportunity than other platforms may offer.
It doesn’t matter if the products are big or small or it’s just one thing you specialize for now, just as long as you love making and selling your products.
The idea of stores within one store, gives a user the opportunity to shop different products in one place, without having to go to different sites to buy it.
Now what makes this different from Amazon let’s say, who’s already doing this.
Well, the difference is, Servboxx is a specialized store and most products here are handmade with care and with love. I like to believe, the more specialized, the better your shopping experience will be.
I hope you will join me in the growth of Servboxx Stores in support of small businesses owners and their products. This is all in its beginning stages, if you are interested in selling through Servboxx, please connect with me directly by using the chat feature below.
